CNC Manufacturing Programmer – Haas Mill‑Turn and 5‑Axis

  • Balancing high-speed machining strategies with surface finish and tolerance goals.
  • Switching between R&D prototyping and short-run production without missing a beat.
  • Keeping work cells organized and efficient using 5S and Lean tools.
Which tools and methods will I use?
  • Fusion 360, FeatureCAM, and Parts Maker for CAM.
  • Mechanical inspection tools alongside GD&T to interpret drawings and validate parts.
  • ISO9001/AS9100 quality practices (preferred) to guide daily decision-making.
What are the core responsibilities?
  • Program and directly support machining of precision components to print.
  • Set up, operate, and change over Haas CNC machines as assigned.
  • Perform in-process and final quality checks; troubleshoot and adjust during runs.
  • Continuously improve processes using Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Maintain 5S standards; follow detailed safety and quality instructions.
  • Assist with cleaning and upkeep of CNC equipment.
  • Show dependable attendance and commitment to team goals.
What background fits best?
  • Fusion 360, FeatureCAM, and Parts Maker proficiency; 10+ years preferred.
  • Proven experience with 5‑axis milling, live‑tooling lathes, mill‑turns, or multi‑task machines.
  • Expert-level understanding of high-speed machining.
  • Comfort owning the full manufacturing process from first setup through final inspection.
  • Ability to adapt between R&D and short production environments.
  • Strong use of mechanical inspection tools; adept at troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing; self-motivated to keep up with the latest tools & techniques.
  • Capable of lifting at least 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Good eyesight including depth perception, peripheral vision, and color differentiation.
