A Skilled Nursing Facility in Brooklyn, NY is looking to hire an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Duties
Assist the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) with management responsibilities and maintaining quality of care.
Conduct weekly wound and skin rounds.
Support regulatory compliance and ensure effective communication across all levels of nursing staff.
Address the nursing and medical needs of residents.
Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation.
Coordinate and direct planning of nursing services.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of nursing theory and clinical practice.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records.
Assist with interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new nursing staff.
Oversee daily staffing processes.
Support infection prevention and control initiatives.
Maintain flexibility in scheduling to address operational and resident care needs.
Requirements
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a long-term care setting.
At least 2 years of management experience preferred.
Staff education experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory abilities.
Flexible schedule availability.
