Your Role in Our Success
As a Shipping Coordinator / Dispatcher, you are a key driver of our Operational Excellence.
You ensure:
- Orders move efficiently from warehouse to customer
- Drivers are set up for success before they hit the road
- Deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time
Your ability to coordinate, adapt, and communicate directly impacts customer experience, branch performance, and the overall strength of our operation—and ultimately, the value of our shared ESOP.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Release & Flow: Release customer and transfer orders for timely pulling and shipment
- Route Dispatching: Plan, dispatch, and monitor delivery routes using Samsara software
- Real-Time Communication: Serve as the central point of contact for drivers—managing routes, delays, and issues throughout the day
- Delivery Visibility: Track progress, ETAs, and compliance to ensure consistent execution
- Accountability & Accuracy: Ensure proof of delivery (POD), photos, and notes are properly captured and documented
- Cross-Team Coordination: Work closely with warehouse, Will Call, and inventory teams to maintain smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Experience in dispatching, logistics, warehouse operations, or transportation coordination preferred
- Familiarity with Samsara or similar fleet management systems is a plus
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- High attention to detail and follow-through
