POSITION OVERVIEW

The People Solutions Specialist serves as a strategic and operational Human Resources partner responsible for supporting and enhancing the full employee lifecycle at Leading EDJE. This role champions a people-first culture by designing, administering, and continuously improving HR programs, policies, and processes that foster employee engagement, development, retention, and organizational success.

As a trusted advisor to team members and leadership, the People Solutions Specialist provides guidance on employee relations, performance management, compliance, benefits, compensation, learning and development, and workplace policies. The ideal candidate combines strong business decisions, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving skills to navigate complex people matters while preserving and strengthening Leading EDJE's culture and core values.

Must be located in the Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area. This is a full-time, salaried hybrid position that combines remote work flexibility with regular in-person collaboration. Candidates must be available during core business hours of 9 AM – 4 PM EST and able to work onsite in the Dublin area up to 3 days a week.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring HR practices align with organizational goals, legal requirements, and industry best practices while driving initiatives that support employee growth, operational excellence, and an exceptional team member experience. The People Solutions Specialist acts as a culture steward, change agent, and advocate for both employees and the business, helping Leading EDJE remain an employer of choice as it continues to grow and evolve.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs, implements, and continuously improves People Operations programs, processes, and policies that support the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, professional development, engagement, retention, and offboarding.

  • Serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and team members on all areas of Human Resources, including employee relations, performance management, corrective action, policy interpretation, compliance, investigations, and employment decisions. Partners with legal counsel as needed.

  • Administers and enhances compensation, benefits, recognition, wellness, and employee experience programs to ensure competitiveness within the technology consulting industry.

  • Processes and administers payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payment of employees. Partners with internal departments to resolve payroll discrepancies, maintain employee records, and support payroll-related reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.

  • Partners with leadership to align people strategies with business objectives, workforce planning needs, and organizational growth initiatives.

  • Acts as a liaison between team members and leadership, fostering a culture of transparency, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Coordinates and facilitates new hire onboarding, orientation programs, benefits administration, open enrollment, employee engagement initiatives, and company-wide events for both onsite and remote team members.

  • Ensures HR policies, procedures, and programs are consistently administered and remain compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws, while supporting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

  • Develops and manages learning and development initiatives, including onboarding curricula, leadership development, technical and professional skills training, performance coaching, and career growth programs.

  • Administers leave of absence programs and accommodations, ensuring compliance, accurate documentation, and a positive employee experience throughout the process.

  • Analyzes workforce, compensation, retention, engagement, and HR metrics; prepares reports and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and organizational planning.

  • Conducts market research and benchmarking for compensation, benefits, and talent trends within the technology and consulting industries to ensure competitive offerings.

  • Owns and maintains employee communications, HR content, policies, and employee handbook documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company culture and values.

SPECIFICATIONS

Required
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including experience supporting professional, technical, or consulting workforces.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Communications, or related field.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and performance management.

  • Experience supporting hybrid and/or remote teams across multiple states.

  • Must be located in the Columbus, Ohio area.

Preferred
  • Experience within an IT consulting, professional services, software development, or technology-focused organization.

  • Experience supporting a highly skilled, client-facing consulting workforce.

  • Experience working in a fast-growing organization undergoing scaling or organizational transformation.

  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, performance management, and employee engagement platforms.

  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.

  • Experience developing employee engagement, leadership development, and culture-building initiatives.
