PATIENT INFORMATION
  • Patient Demographics: Non-compliant, sick patient population
  • Patient Volume/Census: 12-14 procedures per day
FACILITY INFORMATION
  • EMR System: Meditech
  • Support Staff Available: APP support provided
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Credentialing Timeline: ~3 months
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Upper Endoscopies (EGD)
  • Colonoscopies
  • ERCP (mid-level / moderate complexity)
  • Esophageal, duodenal, or luminal stent placement
  • Argon plasma coagulation
  • Biopsies of the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, and colon
  • Colonoscopy with or without polypectomy
  • Diagnostic and therapeutic EGD
  • Enteral alimentation
  • Esophageal dilation (balloon, bougie, or Savary with guidewire)
  • Foreign body removal via EGD
  • Flexible sigmoidoscopy
  • GI motility studies and 24-hour pH monitoring
  • Non-variceal hemostasis (upper and lower)
  • Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG)

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Other Qualifications: Providers with strong relationship building and communication skills highly preferred
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide clinic coverage Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Perform general GI procedures, including upper endoscopies and colonoscopies
  • Perform advanced procedures, including ERCP and esophageal stent placement
  • Participate in shared call rotation with offsite after-hours response
  • Engage with a non-compliant, sick patient population requiring strong communication and relationship-building skills
