Role Description

The Provider Specialist provides support to Thrive by 5 Louisville partner sites and is responsible for assisting with the development, coordination, and execution of quality initiatives, provider engagement, training, technical assistance, and coaching support. This role serves as a key liaison between Thrive by 5 Louisville and community partner providers to ensure successful implementation of program expectations, quality standards, and operational supports.

What You'll Do

Functions and Responsibilities

The specific functions and responsibilities of the Provider Specialist – Partner Sites will include, but not be limited to

  • Support partner sites with site goals, classroom supports, facility enhancement initiatives, and operational improvement strategies.
  • Manage and monitor processes related to increasing quality standards at partner sites, including Kentucky All STARS participation, family engagement practices, and staff support systems.
  • Assist with developing and implementing parent engagement systems that improve child and family outcomes.
  • Work with partner sites to ensure timely completion of required reporting and communicate updates with the TB5L team, and providers as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between partner sites and the TB5L program support team.
  • Assist in coordinating professional development opportunities that align with each partner site’s goals.
  • Monitor assessment data to ensure assessments are completed and updated according to program expectations.
  • Build positive relationships with partner site directors, educators, and families.
  • Communicate ongoing opportunities, resources, deadlines, and program requirements to provider
  • Contribute to the Thrive By 5 Louisville team and support special projects as requested
  • Work with other team members to build a friendly, supportive, healthy, high-functioning team
  • Accomplish annual goals
  • Manage special projects to support the TB5L mission as requested


Requirements

Required Qualifications

The following qualifications will be required to adequately perform the role of Provider Specialist as described above:

  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience in licensed childcare or early learning programs may substitute for formal education.
  • Previous experience teaching, coaching, or working in administration within preschool or childcare programs licensed by the state of Kentucky.
  • Understanding of Kentucky’s All STARS Rating System and Kentucky standards.
  • Experience supporting family child care homes and community-based early learning programs preferred.
  • Experience using brightwheel to manage information and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • High-level competency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate files, records, and reporting documentation.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt to new systems and processes, and work independently when needed.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and relationship-building skills.
  • Passion for the Thrive by 5 Louisville mission of expanding access to high-quality early childhood education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and community partners.
