Non CDL Driver – Yard Hostler | $25/hr | Local | Multiple Shifts
ProDrivers is hiring a Non CDL Driver for a Yard Hostler position! This is a great opportunity for a Non CDL Driver looking for consistent hours, competitive pay, and a local position that does not leave the yard.

Pay & Schedule

• $25.00/hour
• Average 40 hours per week
• Multiple schedules available:
  • 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (Sun–Tues + every other Wed)
  • 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Sun–Tues + every other Wed) – $1.50 shift differential 
  • 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (Thurs–Sat + every other Wed) – $2.00 shift differential 
  • 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Thurs–Sat + every other Wed) – $2.50 shift differential 

Position Details

• Local yard position – does NOT leave the yard
• Equipment: Yard Hostler
• Automatic transmission 
• Moving and positioning trailers within the yard
• Hooking and unhooking trailers
• No touch freight deliveries

Responsibilities

• Operate safely and efficiently as a Non CDL Driver / Yard Hostler
• Move trailers to designated dock doors and parking areas
• Perform timely trailer swaps and staging
• Conduct basic safety checks and ensure equipment is secure
• Follow all yard safety policies and procedures

What Successful Drivers Have
Successful Non CDL Drivers in this role often have experience with:

• Moving and spotting 53-foot trailers
• Backing trailers in tight spaces and dock areas
• Operating yard equipment such as:
  • Yard jockeys
  • Yard horses
  • Yard mules
  • Yard dogs
  • Switcher equipment

Requirements
We are seeking a reliable Non CDL Driver who meets the following:

• 6 Months prior experience as a yard hostler, or trailer mover required in past 3 years
• Ability to safely hook/unhook and maneuver trailers
• Good MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
• Stable work history
• Ability to work assigned schedule, including nights or weekends if applicable
