Facility Attendant

Position Description:

Under limited supervision, the Facility Attendant performs custodial duties related to the care and cleaning of assigned facilities to ensure that their assigned facilities are in good operating condition.

Examples of Work:

• Daily janitorial duties such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.
• Responsible for removing trash and recyclable material.
• Conducts Building rounds and reporting any maintenance issues of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
• Follows health/safety rules and precautions.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned such as delivering mail and escorting vendors.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of: Safe and sanitary work practices when cleaning facilities and using cleaning chemicals.

Ability to: To perform above duties which may involve standing, bending, and kneeling for periods of time; climbing stairs.

Ability to follow instructions; operate commercial cleaning equipment.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Applicants must be 18 years old, have a valid Driver License, and will also be required to pass a background check and submit to drug and alcohol screening. Previous experience in janitorial is a plus.

Other/Special Note: Position requires bending/moving/carrying/pushing/pulling; lifting to 50 lbs., working from ladders or other heights, standing for long periods of time, and working in confined spaces.
