Compensation Professional

A global financial services company is seeking a Compensation Professional for their office in Jersey City, NJ.

Location: Jersey City, NJ

As a Compensation Professional offer within Global Banking, you will provide strategic solutions and expert advice to the business and HR business advisors; combining in-depth knowledge of compensation principles, understanding of the business needs, market and regulatory landscape, and associated detailed analysis/models.

Job Responsibilities:
• Lead the annual compensation planning processes (both mid-year and year-end), including building tools, performing analysis and reporting to determine compensation funding, allocation and spend, and working with Finance and HR business advisors.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of business issues and priorities; effectively analyse and diagnose issues; provide clear advice and recommendations to help partners make informed and sound comp-related decisions.
• Support and advise on compensation related activities, including new hire offers, promotions, transfers, budget allocation/forecasting and top talent retention.
• Consulting with HR Business Advisors, Recruiting and Senior Managers to create competitive offer packages for key strategic hires
• Review and approval of offer packages to ensure competitiveness and compliance with corporate governance guidelines
• Participate in compensation surveys; independent analysis of internal and external benchmarking data to support business’ rationale
