About the Role
Buffalo Mountain Managers is hiring two reliable, hands-on Property Maintenance Technicians to keep the homeowner associations and properties we manage across Summit County in top condition year-round. This is a varied, self-directed role for someone who is comfortable handling a wide range of maintenance work — from routine upkeep and skilled repairs to seasonal grounds work and the occasional after-hours emergency. If you take pride in your work, enjoy being out in the Colorado high country, and like that no two days look the same, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Do
General Property Upkeep
- Perform routine maintenance and light repairs across common areas, clubhouses, and buildings
- Manage trash and recycling staging, common-area cleaning, and unit turnovers
- Inspect properties regularly and report developing issues before they become problems
- Coordinate with and oversee outside vendors and contractors as needed
Skilled Trades & Handyman Work
- Handle basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and appliance repairs
- Troubleshoot and resolve a broad range of repair issues independently
- Know when a job is beyond scope and needs a licensed specialist
Grounds & Seasonal Work
- Snow removal and ice management for walkways, drives, and common areas through the winter season
- Landscaping upkeep, irrigation checks, and general grounds maintenance in the warmer months
- Seasonal preparation of properties for Summit County's mountain climate
On-Call & Emergency Response
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours and weekend emergencies
- Respond promptly to urgent issues such as water leaks, heating failures, and storm-related damage
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of general maintenance, handyman, facilities, or property-maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
- Comfortable with snow removal and physical outdoor work in winter conditions
- Self-motivated and dependable, able to manage your own schedule across multiple properties
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for emergencies
- Valid Colorado driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work (bending, climbing ladders, standing for extended periods)
- Reside in or near Summit County, or be willing to relocate (reliable winter commuting is essential)
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with HOAs, property management, or multi-unit residential properties
- HVAC, certified trade, or specialized maintenance credentials
- Own basic hand tools
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $58,000 – $62,000 per year, based on experience
- Full-time, year-round, stable employment — not seasonal
- Additional benefits available; details discussed during the interview process
