IMMEDIATE job opportunity for a driven individual who has a proven track record of performance and desire to work for a well-established organization. We are looking for an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator a waste management company located in Santa Fe Springs, CA.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator who is passionate about workplace safety and interested in building a long-term career in the safety field. This position supports the Safety Manager in maintaining a safe, compliant, and proactive safety culture across our operations in California, Arizona, and New Mexico.
The EHS Coordinator plays a key role in daily safety operations by maintaining a strong field presence, identifying and correcting hazards in real time, and supporting compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on position that contributes directly to safety performance, training, inspections, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist the Safety Manager with the implementation and enforcement of safety programs and policies
· Support employee safety training and safety meetings
· Assist with incident investigations, including general liability claims
· Help ensure compliance with DOT regulations, including driver qualification files and recordkeeping
· Maintain accurate safety records, logs, and documentation
· Perform data entry and track safety-related information
· Provide support to operations teams to reinforce safe work practices
· Promote a positive safety culture across all departments
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· 1–3 years of experience in safety, operations, or a related field preferred (entry-level candidates with a strong interest in safety are encouraged to apply)
· Basic knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations is a plus
· Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Compensation: $24 - $28/hr
