Location: Wayne, NJ (Fully Onsite)
Pay range: $20-22/hr
Schedule: M-F, 8am-4:30pm OR 8:30am-5pm. One Saturday per month is mandatory, hours will be 8am-12pm OR 8am-1pm. The Saturday work will be remote!
Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Collections Specialist to join a growing banking team in Wayne, NJ. This role is responsible for working with customers whose accounts are delinquent, identifying solutions, and helping bring accounts back into good standing while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Contact customers regarding past-due accounts and negotiate payment solutions. Average of 60 account follow-ups daily including inbound and outbound calls.

• Conduct skip tracing and basic investigations to locate customers and/or collateral

• Research credit reports, applications, databases, and online resources to obtain updated information

• Troubleshoot and resolve customer account issues. Mainly handling auto loans, personal lines of credit collections.

• Maintain accurate customer records and update contact information

• Document account activity and collection efforts in company systems

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• 3–5 years of collections, banking, or call center experience

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent phone and customer service skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Detail-oriented with solid basic math and computer skills
