Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily property operations, including leasing, resident relations, and administrative tasks
- Support lease negotiations, contract management, and renewal processes with a focus on upselling available units and amenities
- Maintain accurate data entry within property management software such as Yardi and OneSite, ensuring all records are current and compliant with Fair Housing regulations
- Handle tenant inquiries via phone and in person with professional etiquette, providing exceptional customer service at all times
- Coordinate property maintenance requests and facilities management activities to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment
- Assist in enforcing lease agreements, landlord-tenant laws, Section 8 regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) compliance, and other legal requirements
- Manage conflict resolution between tenants or staff by applying effective conflict management techniques and fostering positive relationships
- Support the preparation of legal documents, contracts, and notices while maintaining organized filing systems for all property records
Requirements
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with familiarity in leasing, contracts, or facilities management
- Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law
- Proficiency with Yardi, OneSite, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), or similar property management software
- Strong customer service skills combined with excellent phone etiquette and negotiation abilities
- Experience with data entry, filing systems, office administration, and conflict resolution techniques
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Valid experience in legal administrative procedures related to real estate or property leasing is preferred
