Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This position is responsible for minimizing downtime, maximizing equipment reliability, and ensuring safe and efficient plant operations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with experience supporting production equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on production equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot motors, drives, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, and power transmission systems.
  • Perform basic PLC troubleshooting and assist with controls-related issues.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Install, modify, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Utilize CMMS software to document maintenance activities and work orders.
  • Assist with equipment startups, changeovers, and new equipment installations.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical degree, vocational training, or military maintenance experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with electrical systems up to 480V.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, bearings, gearboxes, and conveyors.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.).
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • VFD troubleshooting experience.
  • Servo motor experience.
  • Robotics experience.
  • Food manufacturing, automotive, plastics, packaging, or heavy industrial experience.
  • Experience using CMMS software such as SAP, Maximo, MP2, eMaint, or Maintenance Connection.
