Tube Bender Machine Set up/Operator

Superior Staffing Melrose Park location is looking for an experienced Tube Bender Set up/Machine Operator

The hourly rate depends on experience and qualifications, but it can be between $23.00 - $26.00 for the right candidate. This role is based at 3030 Hirsch; 1st shift but will need to be flexible with training period.

Job Title: Tube Bender Machine Operator

Job Summary:
The Tube Bender Machine Operator is responsible for operating CNC and/or manual tube-bending machines to produce high-quality bent tubing components. The operator ensures parts meet blueprint specifications, maintains equipment, and follows all safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tube-bending machines according to production requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, protractors, tape measures, and other precision tools.
• Adjust machine settings to achieve proper bend angles and dimensions.
• Load and unload metal tubing and raw materials.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions or quality issues.
• Record production data and inspection results.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies.
• Work with supervisors and quality personnel to maintain production standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Skills

• Experience with CNC tube-bending machines.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to perform basic machine programming and setup.

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds (or as required).
• Working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.
