About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Obstetrics and Gynecology MD in Springfield, Ohio, 45504!

We are seeking a skilled Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for an 18-day assignment with our client in Ohio, commencing Sep 13, 2026. This critical role involves working every other weekend, from Friday 7am to Monday 7am, providing comprehensive care across low and high-risk pregnancies, performing routine and complicated deliveries, and managing a range of surgical gynecology procedures within a hospital setting, including C-sections and various gynecological surgeries.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform comprehensive obstetrics procedures for low and high-risk pregnancies (e.g., history of twins, toxemia, diabetes), including FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) and OB ultrasounds (Level I/Screening and interpretation).
• Manage routine vaginal and complicated deliveries, including low forceps, decision-making for C-sections, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs.
• Conduct repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations.
• Execute surgical gynecology procedures, both open and laparoscopic, including diagnostic/minor procedures like tubal ligation and chromal tubation, and operative/major procedures such as ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOAs.
• Provide care in a Nursery setting.
• Engage in hospital call for Labor and Delivery, comprising 90% of practice.
• Handle an average of five GYN surgeries per day and four nursery admissions per day.
