A leading commercial construction contractor is hiring a Carpentry Foreman to support commercial projects throughout Delaware County. This position is ideal for an experienced field leader who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship while maintaining safety, productivity, and team accountability. The Carpentry Foreman will oversee daily field operations, coordinate crews, and ensure projects are completed according to schedule and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
-Lead and supervise commercial carpentry crews on active construction projects.
-Coordinate daily manpower, workflow, and jobsite activities to maintain production schedules.
-Perform and oversee metal stud framing, drywall installation, acoustical ceilings, and finish carpentry work.
-Install commercial doors, frames, hardware, windows, and related building components.
-Interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings to execute project requirements accurately.
-Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
-Monitor jobsite safety practices and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
-Track labor productivity, project progress, and resource utilization.
-Mentor and train crew members while promoting high-quality craftsmanship and professional jobsite conduct.
-Identify and resolve field issues to keep projects moving efficiently.
Key Requirements
-Minimum 3 years of commercial carpentry experience with leadership, supervisory, or foreman responsibilities.
-Strong experience with metal stud framing, drywall systems, ceilings, and commercial finish carpentry.
-Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications.
-Experience installing commercial doors, frames, hardware, and ceiling systems.
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate crews and manage multiple priorities.
-Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and jobsite safety practices.
-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
-Ability to travel between local project sites as required.
-Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in active commercial construction environments.
Key Qualifications
-OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
-Strong communication and leadership skills.
-Ability to motivate crews while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
-Experience working on large-scale commercial construction projects.
-Demonstrated commitment to safety, professionalism, and craftsmanship.
