Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee facility operations for a well-established manufacturing company with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and employee longevity.

The successful candidate will have the benefit of an extended transition period and the opportunity to learn from a long-tenured incumbent before assuming full responsibility for the department.
What You'll Do
- Lead day-to-day facility maintenance operations while supervising one Facilities Maintenance Technician.
- Maintain and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and fire/safety systems.
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs to maximize uptime and reliability.
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
- Support OSHA compliance, building inspections, permits, and facility documentation.
- Respond to facility issues and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurring problems.
- Track maintenance expenses, service records, and contractor performance.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of facilities maintenance or building operations experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and vendor management.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, facility inspections, and compliance requirements.
- Hands-on troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to occasionally support after-hours or emergency facility needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certification or Associate's degree.
- Experience managing departmental budgets or maintenance expenses.
- Experience working in a small to mid-sized manufacturing organization.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (flexibility available)
Location: Chicago, IL
Salary: $85,000 - $110,000
