Our client, a leader in industrial equipment services, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Tech - Press Brake/Shears - Columbia, SC to join their dynamic team. As a Field Service Tech - Press Brake/Shears - Columbia, SC, you will be an essential part of the service department supporting customer success and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Field Service Tech - Press Brake/Shears - Columbia, SC
Location: Columbia, SC
Pay Range: $26/hr. – $48/hr.
Shift: Monday to Friday - 1st shift
What's the Job?
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery at customer locations.
- Prioritize, schedule, and complete service calls efficiently and professionally.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues and implement corrective actions.
- Complete and submit service documentation accurately and promptly to support invoicing and service records.
- Maintain company-provided tools, equipment, and vehicles in safe operating condition.
What's Needed?
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness and ability to travel overnight up to 75% of the time.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
