Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Utilize specialized knowledge and nursing skills to provide care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients
• Care for patients in Med Surg, Telemetry, and Stroke units, adapting to fluctuating patient needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Supervise and direct nursing care provided by others under your guidance
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Tele experience
• Experience working with stroke patients (must be listed on resume)
• Willingness to take Telemetry patients as needed
• Ability to obtain NIHSS Certification within 48 hours if offered
• Ability to obtain mRs/SIREN Certification within 48 hours if offered
• COVID-19 vaccination required (declinations not accepted)
• Active Maryland RN license or compact license
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• No scheduling restrictions; must be flexible to work facility schedule
• Locals accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Med Surg and Telemetry nursing
• Stroke patient care and assessment
• NIHSS and mRs/SIREN certification (obtained within 48 hours of offer)
• BLS certification
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
