As a Career Advisor with the Bureau of Workforce Partnership and Operations, you will play a key role in connecting people with training, resources, and job opportunities. The Career Advisor helps jobseekers explore careers, develop skills, and connect with employment opportunities while also supporting employers with their workforce needs. This role supports strong customer service, clear communication, and helpful guidance. As a Career Advisor, you will perform the following duties:
- Career Guidance: Conduct assessments, discuss goals, and help individuals make informed career decisions
- Jobseeker Support: Provide coaching on resumes, interviews, job searches, and related topics
- Employer Services: Assist businesses with job postings, hiring strategies, and recruitment needs
- Case Management: Track progress, update plans, and coordinate services to support employment goals
- Community Outreach: Promote services and build relationships with local organizations and partners
- Record Documentation: Document services and maintain required reports for workforce programs

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Clearfield. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Successful completion of the Career Advisor Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) training program; or
- One year of experience interviewing the public to collect and identify customer needs, evaluating eligibility for programs, and researching data to make decisions, and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
