Machinist I

The Role:

Our sitein Decaturis seeking aMachinist Ito join our team.This role performs tasks directly related to the machining of graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials.

*This work schedule for this position alternates between the following 2 shifts:

Week 1: Thursday-Saturday, 3:00am-3:30pm

Week 2: Wednesday-Saturday, 3:00am-3:30pm.

What You'll Do:

• Work is job oriented, following detailed blueprints, customer specifications, and internal workinstructions;

• Operate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and computers, (desktop and machine control varieties)

• Operate powered machine tools such as vertical CNC mills, manual and CNC lathes, surface and centerless grinders, cup grinders, bandsaws, and other machiningequipment;

• Perform machine setups and/or operate equipment that is setup by more skilledoperators;

• Complete machining tasks within a customerjob;

• Routinely perform initial setup on newparts;.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines to consistently produce high-quality products.

• May be tasked with preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties.

What We Seek:

• High School Diploma orequivalent;

• Possess math and precision measurement skills and able to read machinedrawings;

• Possess advanced knowledge of machiningmethods;

• Astute attention to detail to drive Safety andQuality;

• Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);

• Work any shift as required to meet businessneeds;

• Able to safely lift 50pounds;

• Able to pass pre-employmentphysical;

• Experience in working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment aplus;

• Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws.
