We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Interiors Construction Superintendent to lead and manage interiors projects in Annapolis, MD, and Washington, DC. This role involves overseeing the construction of large commercial interiors projects, including a $7 million project at OneLife Fitness. The position requires reporting to the office in Reston, VA as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day field activities to ensure project milestones and completion dates are met.
- Create short-interval look-ahead project schedules to communicate and track upcoming events.
- Foster a culture that values safety, health, and cleanliness.
- Coordinate and manage work to ensure orderly construction consistent with contract standards.
- Verify work is installed in a workmanlike manner (plumb, level, straight, etc.).
- Obtain all necessary inspections and document quality aspects of physical work.
- Ensure project compliance with contract terms and legal requirements.
- Administer client-specific programs like CQC, Safety, and Environmental Stewardship.
- Conduct or attend pre-construction, progress, and other project meetings.
- Regularly meet with client representatives to discuss project status and resolve issues.
- Manage changes in project scope to prevent avoidable rework.
- Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and agreements to ensure compliance.
- Manage the punch list and project closeout process for timely completion.
- Maintain daily paperwork such as timecards, field reports, and schedule updates.
- 5+ years of superintendent experience, with at least 3 to 5 years on ground-up commercial construction projects.
- Experience working on projects $30 million+ in value.
- Proficiency in RFIs, submittals, and managing projects from start to finish at a general contractor.
- Experience in commercial interiors, renovation, construction, fit-out, and retail or restaurant projects.
The work environment is team-focused and highly collaborative, with the office located in Reston, VA. Projects will take place throughout Northern Virginia, following the completion of an 18-month project based in Manassas.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $60.00/hr.
