Job Description
The Inspector/Packager plays a key role in ensuring the quality of metal components by executing daily inspection plans and supporting production teams in maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety. This position focuses on inspection, packaging, labeling, and documentation within a manufacturing environment that specializes in photo-chemical etching and plating.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute a detailed daily quality control (QC) inspection plan to ensure all parts meet specified requirements.
- Inspect incoming metal parts in accordance with General Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and other relevant engineering specifications.
- Package and label parts accurately and securely prior to shipping to ensure traceability and product integrity.
- Initiate Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs), and maintain accurate records of these reports.
- Assist quality control operators by answering questions, clarifying requirements, and supporting them with their daily inspection tasks.
Essential Skills
- 1–2 years of experience performing relevant duties in the PCB or photo-chemical etching industry preferred.
- Experience in quality inspection, including inspection of metal parts and components.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, General Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Clara, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
