The Material Handler works in a fast-paced warehouse environment, supporting shipping and receiving operations and delivering materials to the production team. This role requires a versatile individual who can assist across multiple departments as the facility ramps up production, handling increased volumes of raw materials and finished goods. The position involves frequent forklift and pallet jack operation, inventory support, and use of basic warehouse systems to ensure accurate and efficient material flow.
Responsibilities
- Work on the warehouse floor to support daily shipping and receiving operations.
- Handle incoming raw materials by unloading, verifying, and staging them in the appropriate areas.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging products for FedEx, UPS, and other carriers.
- Transport materials and components from the warehouse to the production team in a timely and accurate manner.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move pallets, raw materials, and finished goods throughout the facility.
- Assist in inventory activities, including counting, tracking, and organizing stock in the stockroom and warehouse.
- Use ERP/MRP or similar systems to support inventory and shipping/receiving processes, as needed.
- Support multiple departments and adapt to changing priorities as production volumes increase.
- Participate in cross-training across Shipping and Receiving, Material Handling, Forklift operations, and Stockroom functions.
- Collaborate with a small team to learn and perform all aspects of the role, ensuring smooth material flow and on-time shipments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with warehouse safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to resolve issues related to materials, inventory, or shipments.
- Material handling experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Shipping and receiving experience, including handling inbound and outbound shipments.
- Forklift and pallet jack experience, with either a current forklift certification or at least 3+ years of forklift operation experience.
- Basic inventory experience, including counting and organizing stock.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
- Capability to adapt to different tasks and support multiple departments as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling materials and shipments.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team.
- Experience using ERP or MRP systems is a plus.
- Experience with FedEx and UPS shipping processes is a plus.
- Prior stockroom or warehouse systems experience is beneficial.
- Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple warehouse and stockroom functions.
- Comfort working with increasing production volumes and changing priorities.

Work Environment
You work on the warehouse floor as part of a small team of approximately 6–10 people, learning all aspects of material handling, shipping and receiving, forklift operations, and stockroom functions. The role involves regular use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse systems, with cross-training provided to broaden your skills. The facility operates multiple shifts, with a first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and a second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., offering structured hours in a production-focused environment. The warehouse emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficiency, with appropriate protective footwear required and supported through a steel-toed boot reimbursement program.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
