Job Description
This is a long-term, full-time opportunity for an experienced or aspiring sanitation professional to lead a sanitation team in a production environment. The Sanitation Lead oversees sanitation activities in the red tank area, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and efficient workflow while providing hands-on leadership, guidance, and training to team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily sanitation activities for the red tank area to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant production environment.
- Perform and oversee sanitation tasks inside tanks, ensuring all equipment and surfaces meet cleanliness standards.
- Organize and direct the work of the sanitation team, assigning tasks and monitoring progress throughout the shift.
- Train team members on proper sanitation procedures, safe work practices, and correct use of tools and equipment.
- Support production, assembly, and manufacturing processes by ensuring sanitation work aligns with operational needs and schedules.
- Monitor work quality and address issues promptly to maintain high standards of hygiene and efficiency.
- Assist with general labor tasks related to sanitation and production as needed.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate sanitation activities and minimize downtime.
- Promote a culture of safety and cleanliness by modeling best practices and reinforcing company policies.
Desired Skills
- Previous manufacturing experience in a production or assembly environment.
- Hands-on sanitation experience or a strong willingness to work in sanitation.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a lead, trainer, or supervisory capacity.
- Ability to supervise and guide team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Mechanical aptitude to work around production and manufacturing equipment safely.
- Capability to perform general labor tasks, including physical work in confined or humid spaces.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear instructions and feedback.
- Reliability and consistency in following established procedures and schedules.
Work Environment
The role is based in a production and manufacturing facility, with primary duties focused on sanitation inside red tanks. The work area can be humid and may involve working in confined or enclosed spaces. You will work around production, assembly, and mechanical equipment as part of the sanitation process. The position follows a full-time schedule and requires comfort with physical tasks and general labor in an industrial setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
