Day Shift Forklift Operator
Job Description
This role operates sit-down propane forklifts in a climate-controlled, clean manufacturing warehouse.
You will spend most of your shift on a forklift, working in narrow racking with tight clearances, loading and unloading trucks, handling materials, and performing shipping and receiving tasks while occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down propane forklifts safely and efficiently throughout the shift, including in narrow aisles with tight clearances.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring products and materials move accurately and safely between shipping, receiving, and storage areas.
- Ensure all packaged materials are correctly labeled and stored in the appropriate warehouse locations.
- Stage loads for trucks scheduled for the next morning to support on-time shipping and smooth operations.
- Communicate regularly with the shipping team and leadership to stay updated on incoming and outgoing trucks and changing priorities.
- Understand and follow established shipping and receiving procedures to maintain consistency and accuracy.
- Complete accurate, legible paperwork and documentation for all shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts in the finished goods warehouse and help identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies.
- Use RF scanners and other warehouse equipment to track inventory and material movement as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area by following housekeeping standards and cleaning schedules.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Prairie, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
