Job Title: Finish Carpenter
Job Description
This role focuses on constructing pre-engineered metal buildings using a variety of carpentry techniques and tools. You will assemble and install structural and finish components, working both at ground level and at heights up to approximately 30 feet while secured with appropriate safety harnesses. The position requires comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions and a strong commitment to safety and quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble pre-engineered metal buildings according to specifications and blueprints.
- Use hand tools and power tools to install, secure, and finish panels and structural components on metal buildings.
- Perform framing, rough carpentry, and finish carpentry tasks as needed for each project.
- Work at heights up to approximately 30 feet while safely strapped in with a safety harness and fall protection equipment.
- Measure, cut, and install materials accurately using tape measures, hand tools, and power tools.
- Assist with concrete, drywall, and metal stud installation as required by project scope.
- Participate in commercial construction activities, including work related to steel erection, pole barns, and post frame construction.
- Follow OSHA-approved safety standards and protocols at all times on the job site.
- Operate basic construction machinery and equipment within safety guidelines and training.
- Collaborate with crew members, including lead carpenters and laborers, to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper storage and handling of tools and materials.
- Inspect work for quality and adherence to project specifications and make adjustments as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about progress, issues, and safety concerns.
- Adapt to varying job locations, schedules, and weather conditions while maintaining a strong work ethic.
Essential Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, climbing, and working on your feet for extended periods.
- Comfort working at heights up to approximately 30 feet while using safety harnesses and fall protection equipment.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools, materials, and safety procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, carpentry, framing, or related manual labor roles.
- Experience with finish carpentry, rough carpentry, and framing, including work on pole barns and post frame construction.

- Experience with concrete work, drywall installation, and metal stud construction.
- Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and construction drawings.
- Certification in OSHA safety training or equivalent is a plus.

- Familiarity with using high-visibility safety apparel and other personal protective equipment.

Work Environment

The role involves working at heights up to approximately 30 feet, always using safety harnesses and appropriate fall protection. You will regularly use hand tools, power tools, and basic construction machinery while assembling pre-engineered metal buildings and related structures. The dress code includes wearing pants, a high-visibility shirt, and steel-toe boots, along with any required personal protective equipment appropriate for the job site.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
