Job Description
The 3rd Shift Quality Technician ensures that plastic parts meet strict quality standards by performing detailed inspections and precise measurements. This role focuses on identifying defects, verifying dimensions, and using specialized equipment to maintain consistent product quality in an industrial manufacturing environment on evening and overnight shifts.
Responsibilities
- Inspect plastic parts thoroughly to ensure there are no defects and that all components meet specified quality standards.
- Perform quality control checks by measuring parts and verifying dimensions such as outside diameters, material thickness, and depth within tight tolerances.
- Operate and work with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to perform accurate dimensional inspections on plastic parts.
- Use lasers and other inspection tools to confirm that parts meet all required specifications and tolerances.
- Use micrometers regularly to validate critical dimensions and ensure precision in measurements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience inspecting plastic components in a production environment.
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools beyond micrometers is a plus.
- Ability to maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
- Strong communication skills to report quality issues and collaborate with production teams.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
