Job Description
Position Summary
We are hiring a Truss Builder to support the production of high-quality trusses and wall panels for residential and commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and want long-term growth opportunities within a stable company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble trusses and wall panels according to specifications and production requirements
- Use hand and power tools to cut, fasten, and secure materials accurately
- Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and measurement guidelines
- Measure and cut materials to precise dimensions using tape measures and saws
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and remove defective components
- Operate and monitor machinery used in the assembly process
- Rotate between workstations based on production needs
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ months of experience using hand and power tools (construction, manufacturing, or similar)
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Ability to follow written instructions and production guidelines
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, repetitive environment
- Able to lift 25–50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred Qualifications
- Carpentry or framing experience
- Experience in truss building or wall panel assembly
- Experience in manufacturing or construction environments
- Ability to adapt to changing tasks and priorities
- Strong teamwork and communication skills

Work Environment & Schedule
- Manufacturing/shop environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures
- Physical role requiring lifting, standing, and repetitive movement
- PPE required at all times (eye and ear protection, etc.)
- Shift Options:
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 1:00 AM
- Overtime available as needed
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
