American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical Cardiovascular Stepdown/Intermediate Care position in Wichita, KS, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a valid KS or compact RN license.
Details- Work on a 38-bed Medical/Surgical Cardiovascular Stepdown/Intermediate Care unit
- No drip titrations performed on this unit
- Lab team handles blood specimen collection; IV team available for additional support, though RNs are expected to start IVs
- No EKG performance or sheath discontinuation required
- Telemetry with remote monitoring
- Cerner OneChart EMR in use
- Day shift: 07:00–19:30
- 13-week contract
- Active KS or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required; must be AHA-issued
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- IV insertion skills required
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Current primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Skills checklist required for consideration
- NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred but not required
- MOAB De-Escalation Training preferred but not required
- Ceil blue scrubs required
- Candidates must commit to working both July 4th and Labor Day
- Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate based on proximity to the facility
- COVID vaccination is not required by this facility
