American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN DOU - Direct Observation Unit for a travel nursing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM), Tuesday through Thursday, 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required.
Highlights:- Emergency holding unit with medical-surgical level of care
- Manageable 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratios across all shifts
- 12-bed unit with average daily census of 12 patients
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- First-time travelers welcome; no previous travel experience required
- 91-day assignment with competitive travel nursing benefits
- Active New Mexico or Compact RN license (pending license accepted if obtained prior to start)
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent RN experience preferred
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS required
- Experience with telemetry, blood product administration, IV management, and medical-surgical patient populations
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
- Ability to float to like units within scope as needed
