Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location

Slidell, LA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (5x8 Hours, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM) | Onsite | Call required including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients in the operating room setting
• Support a high-volume OR environment managing 10–25 cases per day across 7 rooms
• Fulfill on-call obligations including weekday, weekend, and holiday call rotations
• Work 2 weekends per 6-week schedule as part of standard rotation
• Participate in emergency response team duties as directed by unit management in the event of an emergency event

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Operating Room specialty required
• Cardiovascular (CV) OR experience is required
• Current BLS certification (AHA required)
• NURSYS report required and must be current within 4 weeks of submission date
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (address on driver's license used for verification)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience as a first-time traveler will be considered provided sufficient OR experience is demonstrated
• Familiarity with high-volume, multi-room OR environments
