Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Location: Orono, ME 04473
Duration: 19 Weeks (Extension or Permanent Placement Possible)
Shift: Day & Evening Shifts Available
Hours: 40 Hours/Week Guaranteed
Pay Rate: $15–$18/Hour

Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and motivated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join a long-term care team in Orono, ME. This role is ideal for both experienced CNAs and newly certified professionals. The CNA will provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, ensuring dignity, comfort, and quality of life for all residents.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.

• Support mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.

• Monitor and report changes in resident condition.

• Obtain and accurately record vital signs.

• Assist with feeding and hydration needs.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents and families.

• Follow infection control and safety protocols.

• Assist nursing staff with basic patient care and documentation.

• Ensure resident dignity, privacy, and respect at all times.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Active CNA Certification (State of Maine or eligible)

• BLS Certification preferred

• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely

• New graduates encouraged to apply
