Quality Control Technician
Fitzgerald, GA l $13.00 / Hour
A top quality peanut flour producer is currently looking to hire a Quality Control Technician to deliver high-quality products to customers. For this role, you must be detail-oriented and ensure that products meet and exceed the standards.
Responsibilities
- Initiate corrective actions to have final products with required specifications
- Support Q. A. Director to train Quality Control associates on safety program to protect employees against harm
- Update and maintain all documentation for auditing purposes and collect samples for shelf life and laboratory analysis
- Report to Q. A. Director specific information related to product information from R&D, PPD, or production
- Conduct quality verifications, internal audits, and project assignments in timely, safe and professional manner
- Report results, issues, and roadblocks to Q. A. Director
- Convey any instrumentation issues to Q. A. Director for review and resolution
- Report Q. A. Director of unusual product observations and analytical results while analyzing or sample handling
- Comply with established quality, safety, and environmental procedures and policies
- Interact regularly with management, production and outside agencies in all plant operations
- Maintain oversight of product testing
- Able to climb on top of a paste/Oil tankers, 20 feet above ground level and perform all tasks including cleaning and verifying seals
- Able to climb to top work platforms to complete product testing or environmental swabs up to 50 feet above ground level
- Able to be lifted in the air in a basket to inspect cleaning of the facility up to 50 feet above ground level
- Check and sign off on all required sanitation tasks
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Minimum age 18
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Communicate information effectively at all levels of the company
- Comfortable working at tall heights
- Analytical, problem solving and the ability to take initiative
- Proficiency with computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Process improvement, ability to analyze information, strategic planning skills, strong verbal communication skills, quality engineering, emphasize excellence, attention to detail, thoroughness, dealing with complexity
- Clean drug screen
- Willing to undergo criminal background check
Location: Fitzgerald, GA
Pay Rate: $13.00 / Hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 pm – 7:00 am, some OT/weekends required
