Position Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, business, or a related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare operations, quality improvement, compliance, or a related role. Experience in correctional healthcare, accreditation processes, or infection control is strongly preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare information systems.

  • Work at a computer for extended periods to manage reports, compliance tracking, and communications
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a dynamic environment

Position Summary: The Implementation Specialist plays a critical role in driving quality, compliance, and operational excellence across our correctional healthcare programs. Serving as a CIQ (Compliance, Infection Control, and Quality) resource, this position is responsible for coordinating and implementing processes that support accreditation, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement (CQI). The Implementation Specialist works cross-functionally with clinical staff, site leadership, and operations teams to ensure programs are executed effectively, staff are trained and supported, and the organization meets or exceeds required standards of care.

What You'll Do:

Support Process Coordination and Project Planning

  • Coordinate the planning, scheduling, and execution of implementation projects
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and tracking tools to monitor progress toward compliance and quality goals
  • Identify process gaps, propose solutions, and support leadership in prioritizing and sequencing corrective efforts
  • Communicate project status updates to relevant stakeholders in a clear, timely, and organized manner

Lead Infection Control and CQI Processes

  • Implement, monitor, and evaluate infection prevention and control programs across assigned site
  • Drive continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives by collecting, analyzing, and reporting performance data
  • Participate in CQI committee meetings and contribute to the development of quality improvement plans and outcome measures
  • Track and trend infection-related data and escalate concerns to clinical and operations leadership as needed

Implement Corrective Actions and Support Accreditation Standards

  • Develop, implement, and track corrective action plans (CAPs) in response to audit findings, deficiencies, or accreditation requirements
  • Assist in preparing for accreditation surveys and reviews (e.g., NCCHC, ACA, or other applicable bodies) by organizing documentation and ensuring readiness
  • Interpret and apply accreditation standards, policies, and regulatory requirements to daily operations
  • Maintain organized records of compliance activities, audits, CAPs, and outcomes for internal and external reporting

Monitor and Report on Compliance

  • Conduct routine audits and assessments to monitor site compliance with established policies, protocols, and accreditation standards
  • Generate and distribute compliance reports, dashboards, and trend analyses to leadership on a regular basis
  • Identify non-compliance trends early and collaborate with site supervisors and operations to address them proactively
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation to support internal audits, external surveys, and contract requirements

Train and Support Staff

  • Develop and deliver training programs for clinical and non-clinical staff on infection control, CQI processes, compliance requirements, and corrective action protocols
  • Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for staff with questions related to quality, infection control, and accreditation standards
  • Monitor training completion rates and follow up with site leadership to ensure all required education is current and documented
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to staff to reinforce best practices and sustain improvements over time

Problem-Solve and Collaborate Across Teams

  • Identify operational and clinical challenges, analyze root causes, and recommend practical, evidence-based solutions
  • Build productive working relationships with site supervisors, nursing staff, clinical leadership, and facility partners
  • Participate in interdepartmental meetings and workgroups to align on compliance priorities and share best practices
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
