WHAT THIS ROLE ENTAILS
As a Grain Operations Technician, you tackle unique challenges daily. Your role involves coordinating the Grain Department to optimize market share and improve efficiency while providing excellent customer service. You'll clean and maintain elevator facilities, load and unload trucks, and conduct regular inspections to ensure high-quality grain storage. Your attention to detail helps prevent contamination, and your proactive approach keeps equipment well-maintained. You foster a friendly atmosphere focused on continuous quality improvement!
LOCATIONS:
We have five elevators located in Flagler, Arriba, Genoa, Hugo, and Limon. We are willing to hire staff to work from any location and will shift people around as necessary.
WHAT WE NEED FROM A GRAIN OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN
- No prior training or experience necessary!
- Problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to accurately perform money, weight, measurement, volume, and distance calculations
- Ability to carry out written and oral instructions
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to utilize distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, and work through interruptions
- Ability to work in an environment where you may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, noisy equipment, extreme temperatures, fumes, wetness/humidity, and chemicals
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work out of the following locations: Flagler, Arriba, Genoa, Hugo, or Limon when needed
