Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour (varies by facility, shift, and experience)
Location: Fort Dodge, KS 67843 (assignments available across multiple Kansas facilities)
Schedule: 5x 8-hour shifts (40 hours per week) or 3x 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week); day, evening, night, or rotating
Start: Upon request as new orders open
Duration: Variable assignment lengths; multiple openings throughout the year
Job Type: Contract (local and travel candidates welcome)

About the Role
ShareSTAFF is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for contract assignments across Kansas. As a contract CNA, you will provide direct, hands-on care to patients and residents, assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring for safety, and supporting the nursing team. You'll choose assignments at acute care hospitals, skilled nursing and long-term care facilities, state-operated facilities, and other healthcare settings that fit your experience, schedule, and location. New openings come in throughout the year - whether you want to start next week or a few months out, we'll match you with the right opportunity. Both 5x 8-hour and 3x 12-hour shift options are available across day, evening, night, and rotating schedules. Local Kansas candidates and travel CNAs are equally encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do
  • Provide direct, basic care to patients and residents, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility
  • Perform location checks and monitor patients for safety, security, and changes in condition
  • Take and record vital signs and report observations to the supervising nurse
  • Assist with transporting and escorting patients within the facility
  • Assist with repositioning, transfers, and lifting patients using proper technique and assistive devices
  • Perform environmental cleaning tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable setting
  • Follow facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including trained techniques for responding to aggressive behavior when required
  • Support nursing staff with assigned tasks and respond to patient needs throughout the shift
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the CNA certification and the facility's nursing department
What You Bring - Required
  • Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification from the State of Kansas
  • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds repetitively and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, twist, and squat throughout the shift
  • Ability to work 5x 8-hour or 3x 12-hour shifts, including day, evening, night, or rotating schedules as assigned
  • If matched to a Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) state facility assignment, candidates must not have been employed at any KDADS facility within the past 12 months
  • Must be able to complete pre-placement requirements, including a drug screen approved by the Kansas Department of Administration when assigned to State of Kansas facilities
What You Bring - Preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior CNA experience in acute care, skilled nursing, long-term care, behavioral health, or state hospital settings
  • Experience supporting patients who require behavioral support or de-escalation
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Valid driver's license (for assignments that require operating a motor vehicle)
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Flexibility to accept assignments at multiple facility types and locations across Kansas
