Job Title: LVN / LPN – Long Term Care (LTC)
Location: Wayland, NY 14572
Duration: 26 Weeks
Schedule: Night Shift (10:00 PM – 8:00 AM)
- 4x10-hour shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Weekly Pay: $1,700 – $1,886
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides direct patient care to individuals in a long-term care setting, including those with developmental disabilities. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LPN supports patient health, safety, and daily living needs while ensuring high-quality care delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications and injections as prescribed
- Perform tube feedings, hang IVs, and collect blood samples (if venipuncture certified)
- Provide colostomy care and other specialized nursing procedures
- Monitor patients, record vital signs, and report changes in condition
- Obtain specimens and assist with physician-ordered treatments
- Prepare and apply simple dressings
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, feeding, lifting, and repositioning patients
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive patient environment
- Float to other units or homes as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Active New York State LPN license (required prior to start)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA preferred)
- SCR (Staff Central Registry) and SEL (Statewide Exclusion List) clearances required prior to start (processing may take 2–4 weeks)
- Previous long-term care or developmental disabilities experience preferred
- Venipuncture certification preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and potentially high-demand environment
- Willingness to float based on facility needs
- Must be able to work in a mandated setting, including staying beyond scheduled shift if required until relief arrives (per state regulations)
- 26-week contract assignment
- Night shift schedule (4x10)

- Strong patient care and teamwork skills required
