Job Summary
Vein and Vascular Institute is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and detail oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a specialty practice, preferably vascular or vein care or in an outpatient setting. Experience assisting with office-based procedures is strongly preferred.
This position requires excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient centered environment. The CMA will work closely with the providers and clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care while supporting efficient clinical operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet patients professionally and provide exceptional service at every encounter.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for evaluation and treatment.
- Obtain and accurately document vital signs, medical history, medication reconciliation, allergies, and patient concerns in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Prepare patients for in office procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the visit.
- Provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions regarding treatment plans and follow up care.
- Prepare and maintain procedure rooms according to established clinical standards.
- Obtain pre-certs for MRIs and CT scans, and patient documentation as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely EMR documentation.
- Respond to patient inquiries professionally and direct concerns to appropriate staff members.
- Assist with additional office duties and projects as assigned.
Compliance & Professional Standards
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Follow all OSHA, infection control, and safety guidelines.
- Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude at all times.
- Travel to satellite office locations.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification. (Required)
- High school diploma or equivalent. (Required)
- Minimum of one (2) years of medical assistant experience in a physician office or outpatient setting. (Required)
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience in vascular surgery, vein treatment, interventional radiology, surgery, or other specialty practices.
- Experience assisting with office-based procedures.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
