Seasonal or Part-time Tax Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Associate to join our team long term on a seasonal basis, typically Feb-April and Aug-Oct, with the possibility of part-time work during the off season. This position is in office with the pay based on experience and schedule TBD based on the needs to the company and the employee. The ideal candidate will possess a background in tax preparation and have key characteristics that will fit well within our team and this dynamic role.

Responsibilities

• Gather and organize relevant client data
• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and entities
• Look at tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied
• Calculate projections that reflect the best tax strategies for each client
• Interpret and create financial statements
• Collaborate with team members
• Maintain current knowledge of Federal & state tax laws and regulations

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work in Menlo Park office
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or EA license a plus
• Experience with accounting software, CCH a plus
• 2+ years of tax and accounting experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively
