We are looking for a compassionate, ethical, and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals. We are a three-bed residential care home providing a calm, supportive environment for our residents and staff. This is a very relaxed environment as the residential care home is in my home. This position is also a W9 position, meaning, you will receive a W9 form to fill out and will take out your own taxes.

As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for those you serve by delivering personalized care with empathy, professionalism, and enthusiasm. The ideal candidate will have integrity, punctuality, and a commitment to the business and the patients. We will conduct a 90-day review at which time a raise MAY be available. Due to the relaxed nature of this position and low census or case load, the hourly rate starts at $13 per hour and will go up from there depending on review, experience, and work ethic. Due the nature of the position, there is a lot of downtime in between caring for patients.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature
• Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
• Support patients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring proper sanitation practices
• Use assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s to facilitate safe transfers and mobility
• Observe and document patient conditions meticulously, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals promptly
• Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement
• Follow all safety protocols including CPR/First Aid procedures during emergencies or incidents

Requirements

• Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and HIPAA compliance required or willing to obtain upon hire
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately
• Experience working with individuals with memory-related conditions such as Alzheimer's or dementia
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Strong understanding of medication administration procedures and care plans adherence including documentation in a MAR
• Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach toward patient care
• Valid background check clearance; ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overnight shifts if needed
