Job Description
Position Summary
The Stand-Up Forklift Operator is responsible for safely handling, storing and moving palletized product within a freezer warehouse environment maintained at -10F. This role supports inbound receiving, inventory management, order picking, and outbound shipping while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound Receiving & Put away
• Unload palletized product from inbound trucks using a stand-up forklift
• Inspect shipments for damage and verify quantities against documentation
• Accurately receive product into the warehouse management system (WMS)
• Put away product into designated freezer racking locations
Outbound Shipping
• Retrieve palletized product from freezer racking using a stand-up forklift
• Stage and load outbound trucks in accordance with shipping schedules
• Process shipments in the WMS to ensure accurate inventory and order fulfillment
Order Picking & Pallet Building
• Hand pick cases from full pallets to build partial pallets for outbound and inbound orders
• Ensure proper pallet configuration, labeling, and product integrity
Inventory Control
• Perform inventory counts at the end of each period
• Report discrepancies and assist with inventory investigations
Housekeeping & Safety
• Perform daily housekeeping including sweeping.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper operation of material handling equipment
Work Environment
• Freezer environment maintained at approximately -10F
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including freezer gear
• Frequent standing, lifting, and equipment operation throughout the shift
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
Other Requirements
- Must be certified forklift operator.
- Work requires the ability to read, write and speak English and to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
- Mental and visual ability to identify various products, codes, labels and stickers and read sales orders and shipping documents. Must be able to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Must be able to pass Background and Drug test.
