About the role

We're staffing a Machine Operator / Compounder position for a manufacturing facility in the Metro Detroit area. This is a hands-on role in chemical blending and production support — great fit for someone who takes pride in accuracy, works well with minimal supervision, and wants a path to permanent hire.

Pay & schedule

• $19–$21/hour depending on experience
• 10-hour shifts — schedule flexibility required
• Shift options: 4pm–2:30am (Mon–Tue) or 6am–4:30pm (weekends)
• Temp-to-hire opportunity

What you'll be doing

• Setting up and operating mixing tanks, blenders, and related equipment
• Accurately measuring and adding chemicals/powders per batch recipes
• Operating equipment: mixers, scales, meters, pumps, and forklifts
• Monitoring raw material usage and ensuring correct quantities
• Supporting product line operations and logging samples for quality review
• Maintaining safety standards and contributing to a positive team environment

What we're looking for

• Previous experience mixing or blending chemicals — required
• Ability to read and follow written/oral instructions in English (safety rules, recipes, procedures)
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide using weight and volume)
• Able to manipulate 55-gallon drums
• Highly dependable with strong attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience
• Forklift certification a plus (not required)
