We are seeking a reliable and organized Office Assistant to support our HR team in Benicia, CA. This is a full-time temporary position paying $20/hour, working Monday through Friday on the day shift for approximately 1–2 months, with the potential for extension. Duties include recruiting and onboarding support, employee record management, payroll and attendance tracking, and front office assistance in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruiting & Onboarding: Assist with the full-cycle recruitment process, including scheduling interviews, posting job openings, and preparing new hire orientation packets.
- Employee Records: Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date employee records in our HRIS system and physical files.
- Payroll & Benefits: Support the HR team by processing timesheets, managing attendance records, and assisting employees with basic benefits inquiries.
- Employee Engagement: Assist with employee recognition events, facility communications, and safety training initiatives.
- Front Office Support: Act as the first point of contact for employees, answering HR-related questions and directing walk-ins to the appropriate team member.
Qualifications
- Language Skills: Bilingual fluency in both English and Spanish highly preferred (written and verbal).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in human resources, office administration, or customer service/clerical role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general PC operation.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional multitasking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to thrive and remain professional in a fast-paced environment with busy phone lines.
