Position Overview
Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Flushing, NY 11355
Duration: 13- Weeks with a high possibility of extension
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to support clinical operations and provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical and administrative skills, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent patient experiences.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with procedures.
• Conduct phlebotomy and point-of-care testing.
• Accurately document patient information in the EPIC EMR system.
• Support physicians and nurses in daily clinical functions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills while ensuring patient comfort and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED – required
• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program – required
• Current BLS certification – required
• Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA-CMA, AMT-RMA) – preferred
• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant – preferred
• Proficiency with EMR and phlebotomy techniques
