Apartment Maintenance Tech

Are you an experienced property maintenance professional looking for your next great opportunity? We are seeking a reliable, skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our multi-family residential community in Lafayette.

In this role, you will handle daily work orders, get vacant units ready for new move-ins, and help maintain the property's overall curb appeal. Prior experience in the apartment industry is required for this role. If you have a strong work ethic, a knack for troubleshooting, and great customer service skills, we want to talk to you!

Key Responsibilities

• Service Requests: Promptly troubleshoot and repair routine maintenance issues for residents, including plumbing leaks, electrical fixtures, basic carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• Make-Readies / Turns: Efficiently prep vacant apartments for new residents, ensuring painting, drywall repairs, and lock changes meet "move-in ready" standards.
• HVAC Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on heating and cooling systems (huge plus!).
• Property Upkeep: Assist in maintaining the community grounds, pool areas, and common spaces to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• On-Call Rotation: Participate in the team’s rotating after-hours emergency on-call schedule.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Must have 1–2 years of hands-on experience specifically within multifamily housing / apartment maintenance.
• HVAC Skills: Previous experience working with residential HVAC systems is a huge plus (EPA certifications are highly desired and will command top pay).
• Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of residential plumbing, basic electrical, drywall patching, and appliance troubleshooting.
• Tools: Must have your own basic hand tools.
• Requirements: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a customer-first attitude when interacting with residents.
