Shipping & Receiving Inventory Specialist

PrideStaff is currently recruiting for a Shipping and Receiving Inventory Clerk. This position manages the movement of goods in and out of a sheetmetal fabrication facility. The position is responsible for processing incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders, and maintaining accurate stock levels using inventory management systems.

Key Responsibilities Are but are Not Limited to:

Receiving:

• Unload delivery trucks and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
• Verify that delivered items match purchase orders, packing slips, and manifests.
• Label, tag, and securely store received inventory in designated warehouse locations.

Shipping:

• Process and pack outgoing shipments according to company standards and carrier regulations.
• Generate necessary shipping documents, such as bills of lading and packing slips.
• Schedule freight carriers, arrange pickups, and track outgoing deliveries to ensure on-time arrival.

Inventory Control:

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory records within digital ERP/WMS systems.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory audits.
• Identify and report any shortages, overages, or damaged stock to management.

Experience:

• 2–3 years in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory control role.

Technical Skills:

• Familiarity with inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), barcode scanners, and RF equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand/walk for extended periods.

Equipment:

• Requires 3 years of forklift and willingness to obtain certification through company.
• Requires 3 years of pallet jack experience.
