Elford is seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and clients, you'll gain hands-on experience in all aspects of project execution while building the foundation for a future career in project management.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating with teams, staying organized, and seeing projects come to life from the ground up.
What You'll Do- Support Project Managers with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and project startup activities.
- Assist with managing project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project logs.
- Help coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
- Track and expedite shop drawings, material procurement, and equipment deliveries.
- Assist with maintaining project schedules and monitoring project progress.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate updates with internal and external stakeholders.
- Review and process invoices, change requests, and other project-related documentation.
- Collect and organize as-built drawings, closeout documents, warranties, and operation manuals.
- Partner with Accounting, Estimating, and Operations teams to support project objectives.
- Learn the processes and tools necessary to successfully manage construction projects from start to finish.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 0–3 years of construction experience through internships, co-ops, or full-time employment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software is a plus.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and desire to build a long-term career in construction.
