Rehab Therapy Supervisor – Direct Hire | Fort Wayne, IN

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Rehab Therapy Supervisor (PT/OT/SLP) to oversee daily operations within its rehabilitation services department. This role is responsible for supporting departmental leadership in managing staff, workflows, compliance, and program development while ensuring high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, prior leadership experience (preferred), and the ability to balance hands-on clinical understanding with administrative and supervisory responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the rehabilitation therapy department
• Support manager/director in personnel management and departmental initiatives
• Oversee scheduling, staffing workflows, and assignment of duties
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, accreditation, and licensure requirements
• Assist in development and implementation of policies and procedures
• Monitor program performance and contribute to service line growth and innovation
• Maintain strong understanding of therapy workflows across PT, OT, and SLP services
• Promote collaboration, accountability, and high-quality patient outcomes
• Support financial and operational stability of the department

Qualifications

Education

• SLP: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a CAA-accredited program
• PT: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (based on graduation year requirements)
• OT: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Occupational Therapy (based on graduation year requirements)

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a PT, OT, or SLP (required)
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Experience in rehabilitation services or hospital-based therapy settings preferred

Licensure & Certification

• Active or eligible PT/OT/SLP license in Indiana (required)
• Must obtain licensure within 90 days if not currently active in state
• SLPs must hold ASHA CCC certification
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 90 days
• APTA/AOTA/ASHA membership preferred

Additional Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; 100 lbs with assistance
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Valid driver’s license required if driving a company vehicle
• Proof of insurance required if using personal vehicle for work-related duties
