Rehab Therapy Supervisor – Direct Hire | Fort Wayne, IN
A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Rehab Therapy Supervisor (PT/OT/SLP) to oversee daily operations within its rehabilitation services department. This role is responsible for supporting departmental leadership in managing staff, workflows, compliance, and program development while ensuring high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, prior leadership experience (preferred), and the ability to balance hands-on clinical understanding with administrative and supervisory responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the rehabilitation therapy department
- Support manager/director in personnel management and departmental initiatives
- Oversee scheduling, staffing workflows, and assignment of duties
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, accreditation, and licensure requirements
- Assist in development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Monitor program performance and contribute to service line growth and innovation
- Maintain strong understanding of therapy workflows across PT, OT, and SLP services
- Promote collaboration, accountability, and high-quality patient outcomes
- Support financial and operational stability of the department
Qualifications
Education
- SLP: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a CAA-accredited program
- PT: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (based on graduation year requirements)
- OT: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Occupational Therapy (based on graduation year requirements)
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a PT, OT, or SLP (required)
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Experience in rehabilitation services or hospital-based therapy settings preferred
Licensure & Certification
- Active or eligible PT/OT/SLP license in Indiana (required)
- Must obtain licensure within 90 days if not currently active in state
- SLPs must hold ASHA CCC certification
- CPR certification required or must be obtained within 90 days
- APTA/AOTA/ASHA membership preferred
Additional Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; 100 lbs with assistance
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Valid driver’s license required if driving a company vehicle
- Proof of insurance required if using personal vehicle for work-related duties
